M&A Rumours: IBM/Softlayer, Rackspace
The rumour mill had IBM looking at Rackspace as well. Assuming – for the sake of argument – this was true it and that price was not a factor, we think SoftLayer was still the better choice if the SMB/mid-market hosting space was the primary objective for IBM.
