Amazon reports 3Q17 results; hitting on all cylinders
Amazon reported its usually strong results in 3Q17. On the top line, growth was steady and came in at almost exactly the same rate as last quarter. Given the scale of the AWS business, that meant a big jump in revenue. Last quarter, it crossed $4b in quarterly revenue, and in 3Q17, it crossed $4.5b. The bottom line ebbs and flows, but the past quarter showed a jump upwards.
