SaaS provider 37Signals to move off public cloud and go back to proprietary infrastructure in leased data centre; lessons, implications
David Heinemeier Hansson, the CTO of 37Signals, parent company of popular project management tool Basecamp and email platform HEY, provided interesting commentary in a blog post (along with accompanying discussion in a podcast) about why his company is moving off the public cloud. The insights are interesting and point to how cloud, for all that it can do, is not a one-size-fits-all platform.
