Singapore awards 80MW of data centre capacity to AirTrunk, ByteDance, Equinix, GDS and Microsoft
The Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) confirmed that it is allocating ~80MW of new IT capacity to four data centre operators through the inaugural pilot Data Centre – Call for Application (DC-CFA) exercise. This is part of the Singapore government’s initiative to continue supporting data centre development in a limited manner; citing climate change commitments as the key driver.
