In my recent research note, the age of fake data centres, I talked about the large number of data centre projects that are not likely to reach fruition in the immediate future; if ever. In the two months since that note was published, its predictions have been proven correct. We are, in fact, seeing a rash of fake data centre projects, and not just in Northern Virginia.
